Inspiration
The inspiration comes from a gentleman’s strawberry pink silk satin embroidered court suit from around 1780, comprising a coat, waistcoat and breeches decorated with stylised flowers and foliage. Tambour embroidery in polychrome silk created delicate trailing flowers and foliage — an exquisite style typical of garments worn at court.
