Inspiration
The bed known as the “Mary of Modena Bed” or the “warming pan bed” dates from around 1688 and has been altered and added to over time. Curtains, valances and upholstery are made from polychrome velvet, probably manufactured in Italy around 1680–90, while the high-quality embroidered counterpane dates from around 1650–60.
